Well making us all into wanna be somebody Else's makes us spend our money, It probably is the best advertisement tactic ever. If I just had better hair, if I just had hair, if I had that fast of a car, if I was just this this, etc. etc....... Yeah that is the money making capitalistic septic tank of America. LOL!

It's one thing if you're 10 and you want to wear a jersey it's whole different can of worms when you see grown men walking around with Derek Jeter shirts. As a 45 year old adult I could never imagine my Dad going around wearing a Mickey Mantle #7 jersey. I think I would have lost a little respect for him.
I played sports through college so I get the team concept and sports mentality - But I have to agree that today's adult men are still trying to live their glory days or the glory days they never had. |

You must be at least partially right -- because jerseys are everywhere and so is trouble.

That is part of it but more is when we put a sport star up there with Jesus. When I grew up if you wore clothes with a hole in them you were poor, now if you run around with your butt hanging everyone falls over you for you have money.
