My dream can be about anything, but somewhere in it I'll end up with a spider or bits of a spider in my mouth. I'l be spitting it out, or trying to get it all out with my fingers. When I have the dream carries on. In real life I'd be totally freaking out but in my dream I'm quite calm about it all.
Its happened alot over the last couple of weeks? |

This could mean that spiders crawl into your mouth while your sleeping and momentarily wakes you up but your still in a dreaming state then you fall back to sleep again and your mind thinks about the spiders you just saw and thats probably why

Over the course of your life the average human swallows about 4-5 insects while sleeping per year. .
Also, the only way to get rid of it is by facing your fear and going to a restaurant where they serve fried tarantulas. If you live in NYC I can give you directions. |

Ewww. That's gross.
I'd advise that you start reading books and eating ice cream before bed. I know it's weird, but it worked for me! |

Spiders are not good in dreams...
If they are in your mouth, it could very likely be something that you are speaking that is false. Some sort of lies or gossip. I would watch what I say... |

Something that needs to be said to someone who isn't being totally honest with you or about you.

I've read that animals and insects in dreams are metaphors for the specific traits and unconscious urges in all of us. The more aggressive the insect in your dream, the more instinctual the urge. A single, persistent insect, could represent a problem that has been bothering you for a while. Since your dream is recurring lately, I'd imagine that there has been one thing in particular bothering you over the past weeks. Yet, in your dream you remain calm about the spider in your mouth, and simply try to remove it with your fingers. So the thing that is bothering you is probably discreet, and not yet causing you too much obvious stress in waking life.
Have you had the feeling that something is looming over you lately?? Maybe an important decision that you must make, and is there someone in your life that is pressuring you into making a decision that you're not sure about? Spiders are often associated with wisdom, but also deceit. They spin beautiful elaborate webs, but use them to catch their prey. Do you feel that someone is invading your thoughts or putting words in your mouth?? One good thing is that because you are able to remember your dream, this means that your mind intends to tackle the issues that are bothering you, at least on some level. Until you figure it out, maybe you should invest in a Dream-Catcher (actually a web-like design). Not only are they believed to keep nightmares at bay, but they are also linked to spiders, and the Native American 'goddess' called the Spider Grandmother, the source of all creation, who "spins a web across the sky and links all people and civilizations". A more practical tip may be to check the blankets and pillow cases you are sleeping on. Maybe loose thread or frills are bothering you as you sleep, and when you feel them on your skin you imagine a spider crawling towards your mouth?? |
