I had a dream my 7 year old daughter was missing and the dream took place with all the previous days events we went to a party to the park and were just hanging out...When I woke up I couldnt tell if I had dreamed it or if it had really happened so I ran to her bedroom and just grabbed her and held her for like 1/2 hr. ...What does this dream mean, I felt very helpless in the dream and no one would help me find her like they knew where she was but wouldnt say!! Like she was safe somewhere but they didnt want me to know!! We were with close friends all day, and my younger son wasn't missing...My wife was one of the people who knew but was acting like everything was fine!

And you stopped ignoring the child, 9THE THING YOU WERE NOT BEING TOLD), an now you and the child are closer. I see nothing wrong here. You simply did something which needed to be did, for you and the child.

Dreams are the way your subconscious mind has of allowing you to see and understand feelings you often keep hidden from yourself.
When you awoke from this dream, you felt very anxious about your child's safety and well-being. What were your feelings about your wife at the moment of awakening? It seems that in the dream, your wife was making you feel helpless, and despairing. Those feelings are something your subconscious mind has brought to your attention. The question is whether they are justified or not. If they are not justified in real life, you can think about them, then let them go. If you feel that there is something in the relationship that is making you feel anxiety and a lack of trust, then at least you can be more aware of what is happening. To become more aware of what is happening with your wife and daughter, make sure you listen to what they tell you each day, and spend extra time finding out how they are feeling. -- |
