The answer to this is for each individual to discover for themselves. I believe our meaning is to live the best life we can and to be the best person we can, leaving behind well adjusted, healthy children.

To reproduce so that your DNA will be passed on for generations.
I personally don't see any really "meaning" to life, but as long as I'm here I'm going to try to have a good time. I'm going to enjoy all the little gifts we get in life like a cool sunrise or sunset, a nice warm drink at Starbucks on a cold winter day, Spending time with my wife and kid and also with other friends and family. I don't understand how I could survive a motorcycle accident, and yet a friend of the family dies after falling of a chair trying to change a light bulb. Why do little kids get cancer and Asama when my grandfather smoked 3 packs a day for 50 years and he's 90 and generally healthy (well, as healthy as a 90 year old man can be) |

My name is Slartibartfast.
A character in a book and film entitled Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. This very question is asked in this book and the answer is 42. However - it is wrong (I'll tell you why in a minute) The actual question was "Life, the Universe and Everything" It took some 20 million years for a giant computer to think about it and it eventually came up with the answer "42" The reason being, because "Life, the Universe and Everything" isn't actually a question. It was then decided they had to find the question which had the answer 42 and the giant computer helped design an even bigger computer - called Earth - and we are living on it. Unfortunately, it was - or should I say, "will be" destroyed before it has finished it's equations, to make way for a new space by-pass. And now to the correct answer to your question and the correct question to to the answer, which we now know is 42. Unfortunately, it appears that we are rather limited to the number of words we can use on Yahoo Answers and w |

Life is different to everyone and i guess you to discover that when you go through many ups and downs and finally reach the other side but most importantly i guess its achieving contentness in any shape and form.

It has been said, life is too big to have a meaning.
It has also been said, a false identity has no meaning, so it's always seeking meaning. |

meaning and point and purpose all refer to a plan or a design. How could there possibly be a plan for my life except it come from God?
“Unless you assume a God, the question of life’s purpose is meaningless.” –Bertrand Russell (brilliant atheist philosopher) There it is from a world class atheist. Without God, all we're doing is to invent pleasant things to do with our life so we won't think about a meaningless existence. |

I believe:
You are on this earth to determine which place you go after this world. If you did bad in this life, you know where you would go. If you did good, than you go to heaven. Otherwise, there is no point to this life at all. It's a TEST, and God is testing us! So, be nice to people. |
